BIO: Joaquin Andujar was born in 1952 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic and died in 2015 in San Pedro de Macoris, Macoris, Dominican Republic. He played major league baseball from 1976 to 1988 as pitcher for the Houston Astros, St. Louis Cardinals and the Oakland Athletics, appeared in the 1982 and 1985 World Series, and was selected 4 times as an All-Star. Andujar's nickname, "One Tough Dominican" was self-selected, as he often liked to refer to himself in that way.
