He played major league baseball from 1971 to 1988 as outfielder and 1st baseman for the Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, Seattle Mariners, California Angels, Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals and the Toronto Blue Jays, and appeared in the 1975 World Series.
