BIO: Robert Leroy Rodgers was born in 1938 in Delaware, OH. He played major league baseball from 1961 to 1969 as catcher for the Los Angeles / California Angels. Rodgers went on to manage the Milwaukee Brewers (1980-82), Montreal Expos (1985-91), and the California Angels (1991-94. He was injured in the 1992 Angels Bus Crash, suffering a broken rib, left knee and elbow.
