BIO: Wilmer Dean Chance was born in 1941 in Plain Twsp., OH and died in 2015 in Wooster, OH. He played major league baseball from 1961 to 1971 as pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels, California Angels, Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets and the Detroit Tigers, and was selected in 1964 and 1967 as an All-Star. In 1969 he became a boxing manager and promoter, and as of 2006 he was president of the International Boxing Association.
