DODGERS' NEW BULLPEN ACEBob Miller, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, has given up only one run in 23 innings in seven games since he went from being a starter to a full-time relief pitcher two weeks ago. The 24-year-old right-hander now has a season record of 9-8, vastly different from last year when he had a record of 1-13 with the New York Mets. His only victory, which he posted next to the last day of the season, averted giving him record for most losses by a winless pitcher.

BIO: Robert Lane Miller (born Robert Lane Gemeinweiser) was born in 1939 in St. Louis, MO and died in 1993 in Rancho Bernardo, CA. He played major league baseball from 1957 to 1974 as pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, Pittsburgh Pirates and the Detroit Tigers, and appeared in the 1965, 1966 and 1971 World Series.
