BIO: Dick Corwin Whitman was born in Woodburn, OR and died in 2003 in Peoria, AZ. He went to college at the University of Oregon. He played major league baseball from 1946 to 1951 as outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies, and appeared in the 1949 and 1950 World Series.
