BIO: John Gibson Clarkson was born in Cambridge, MA and died in 1909 in Belmont, MA. He played major league baseball from 1882 to 1894 as pitcher for the Worcester Ruby Legs, Chicago White Stockings and the Cleveland Spiders, appeared in the 1885, 1886 and 1892 World Series, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1963.
