BIO: Willard Wayne Terwilliger (Twig) was born in 1925 in Clare, MI and died in 2021 in Weatherford, TX. He went to college at Western Michigan University. He played major league baseball from 1949 to 1960 as infielder for the Chicago Cubs, Brooklyn Dodgers, Washington Senators, New York Giants and the Kansas City Athletics. In 1960, he fully retired to the dugout. Among his stops as a coach were with the Washington Senators and Texas Rangers under manager Ted Williams from 1969 to 1972, the Rangers again from 1981 to 1985, and with the Minnesota Twins from 1986 to 1994, where he won two World Series. He coached with the independent league St. Paul Saints from 1995 to 2002.
Wilmer Ebert Shantz was born in 1927 in Pottstown, PA and died in 1993 in Lauderhill, FL. He played major league baseball from 1954 to 1960 as catcher for the Philadelphia Athletics, Kansas City Athletics and the New York Yankees. He was the brother of Bobby Shantz.
