BIO: Robert Brown Thomson (Flying Scot, The Staten Island Scot) was born in 1923 in Glasgow, Scotland and died in 2010 in Savannah, GA. He played major league baseball from 1946 to 1960 as outfielder for the New York Giants, Milwaukee Braves, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, and the Baltimore Orioles, appeared in the 1951 World Series, and was selected in 1948, 1949 and 1952 as an All-Star. In 2004, he was inducted into The Scottish Sports Hall Of Fame in recognition of his accomplishments. SKU: L14628
