BIO: William John Posedel (Sailor Bill or Barnacle Bill) was born in San Francisco, CA and died in 1989 in Livermore, CA. He played major league baseball from 1938 to 1946 as pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Boston Bees and Boston Braves. He served in the United States Navy from 1925-1929 and 1942-1945.
