BIO: Vernon Decatur Stephens (Junior or Buster) was born in McAlister, MN and died in 1968 in Long Beach, CA. He played major league baseball from 1941 to 1955 as shortstop and 3rd baseman for the St. Louis Browns, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox and the Baltimore Orioles, appeared in the 1944 World Series, and was selected 8 times as an All-Star.
