BIO: William Vincent Swift was born in 1908 in Elmira, NY and died in 1969 in Bartow, FL. He played major league baseball from 1932 to 1943 as pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Bees, Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago White Sox.
