BIO: Emil Hugo Huhn (Hap) was born in 1892 in North Vernon, IN and died in 1925 in Camden, SC. He played major league baseball from 1915 to 1917 as 1st baseman and catcher for the Newark Pepper and the Cincinnati Reds. Emil Huhn was the regular first baseman for the Newark Pepper in 1915. After the Federal League folded, he played two seasons for the Cincinnati Reds in 1916 and 1917. Although his major league career was done after 1917, he continued to play professionally, in the minor leagues, until 1925. He was manager of the Augusta Tygers of the South Atlantic League at the time of his death in a car accident in 1925.
